Anne graduated from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota after working in the education and business sectors. She spent more than ten years teaching in higher education followed by the ownership and management of a mid-sized construction company in northwest Iowa. After receiving her Juris Doctorate, she was employed as a judicial law clerk serving Iowa Judicial District 3A. She established Quail Law, PLC in 2019 providing legal services to individuals and businesses located in northwest Iowa, Minnesota, Arizona, Alabama, Colorado and Nebraska. Anne was appointed as Clay County Magistrate in 2020 and soon after accepted the position of Assistant Palo Alto County Attorney while continuing her private practice. Anne is now enjoying utilizing those experiences to inform her private practice at Quail Law. Sam Lyon joined the firm in June of 2022 changing the firm name to Quail & Lyon, PLC.

As the Legal Assistant – Billing at Quail & Lyon, PLC, I play a key role in managing client agreements, retainers, and billing processes. I am responsible for sending Agreements and Retainer requests to clients, ensuring they are completed before appointments. I also monitor retainers to determine when replenishment is needed.

In addition, I handle the firm’s monthly invoicing, working closely with our attorneys to ensure accuracy and clarity. I oversee payments, assist clients with their balances, and help maintain smooth financial operations for both the firm and our clients. My goal is to provide efficient, organized, and professional support to ensure a seamless billing experience.
